About

About

LuisaViaRoma is a well-known luxury fashion retailer based in Florence, Italy, offering high-end clothing, accessories, and lifestyle products from both established and emerging designers.

Although the brand offers premium products and a strong visual identity, the existing website lacked usability clarity and a modern, content-forward structure.

The redesign introduces a clean, editorial-inspired layout that creates a visually immersive shopping experience, simplifies navigation, and leverages refined typography and grid systems to elevate the luxury aesthetic—enhancing usability without compromising artistic direction.

Grid

The grid design draws inspiration from fashion catalogs—dynamic, modular, and airy. Large visuals set a premium, high-end tone, letting the imagery speak for itself.

Problem

Problem

Despite strong branding and visuals, the existing interface feels cluttered and rigid, limiting user engagement and diminishing the emotional impact of the content. Navigation can be overwhelming, and the design does not fully reflect the editorial, high-fashion tone of the brand.

The top-level navigation has been streamlined to just five items. The “Stores” section was moved into a dedicated card, giving it prominence while reducing cognitive load. This makes navigation more intuitive and almost effortless for the user.
